Hey everyone,

I thought it would be fun to share some of our recent reads. It's always interesting to see what everyone is diving into these days. I'll kick things off!

I just finished "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig. It’s about a woman who gets a chance to live different versions of her life and see what might have been. It really made me think about the choices I've made and how they've shaped my life.

Looking forward to hearing what you all have been reading!

Cheers,
Jessica

Hi Jessica and everyone,

Great idea, Jessica! I’ve actually been on a bit of a historical fiction kick lately. I just finished "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah. It's set during WWII and follows the stories of two sisters in German-occupied France. It was both heart-wrenching and inspiring.

Has anyone else read it?

Best,
Derek

Hi all,

I haven't read "The Nightingale" yet, Derek, but it's been on my list! I recently finished "Educated" by Tara Westover. It's a memoir about a woman who grows up in a strict and abusive household in rural Idaho but eventually escapes through education. It's an incredible story of resilience and the power of learning.

Jessica, "The Midnight Library" sounds fascinating! I'll have to check it out.

Talk soon,
Clara

Hey everyone,

"Educated" is amazing, Clara! I read it last year and couldn’t put it down. I just finished "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir. It’s a sci-fi novel about a lone astronaut trying to save Earth from disaster. It’s by the same author as "The Martian," and it’s just as gripping.

Derek, I read "The Nightingale" a few years ago and loved it. Kristin Hannah really knows how to tell a story.

Cheers,
Liam

Hi team,

I’m so glad you brought this up, Jessica. I’ve been looking for some new recommendations. I recently finished "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. It’s a mystery and coming-of-age story set in the marshlands of North Carolina. The writing is beautiful, and the story is so engaging.

Clara, I’ve heard great things about "Educated." It’s definitely on my list now. And Liam, "Project Hail Mary" sounds intriguing—I loved "The Martian."

Looking forward to more recommendations!

Best,
Sophia

Hey all,

Sophia, I read "Where the Crawdads Sing" last year and thought it was beautifully written. I just finished "Becoming" by Michelle Obama. It’s such an insightful and inspiring memoir. Her journey from Chicago to the White House is truly remarkable.

Liam, "Project Hail Mary" sounds like a must-read. I love a good sci-fi novel.

What’s next on everyone’s reading list?

Cheers,
Michael

Hi everyone,

Michael, I loved "Becoming." Michelle Obama's story is so inspiring. Next on my list is "Circe" by Madeline Miller. It’s a reimagining of the story of Circe from Greek mythology. I’ve heard it’s really good.

Sophia, "Where the Crawdads Sing" has been on my radar for a while. I think I’ll bump it up my list after your recommendation.

Hope everyone finds some great new reads from our conversation!

Best,
Jessica

Date: July 27, 2024, 4:15 PM

Hey folks,

"Circe" is fantastic, Jessica. I read it a few months ago and couldn’t put it down. I’m currently reading "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" by Yuval Noah Harari. It’s a thought-provoking look at the history of our species.

Michael, "Becoming" was such a great read. Michelle Obama's voice is so genuine and powerful.

Looking forward to hearing more about what you all pick up next.

Cheers,
Derek

Hi all,

"Sapiens" is on my list, Derek. I’ve heard it’s a real eye-opener. I just started "Little Fires Everywhere" by Celeste Ng. It’s a novel about a suburban family and the upheaval caused by the arrival of a mysterious mother and daughter. So far, it’s really gripping.

Jessica, "Circe" sounds interesting. I might have to add that to my list too.

Happy reading, everyone!

Best,
Clara
