Points Expiring Today

I was just thinking about that time we tried to build that bookshelf from scratch. Remember how we spent the whole afternoon measuring and cutting, only to realize one board was slightly too short? I still laugh when I picture us trying to balance it against the wall while you held the level. Honestly, it turned out okay in the end, even if it wobbles a bit when you lean on it. The cat loves sleeping on the middle shelf, so I guess that’s a win. I’ve been meaning to ask if you want to tackle a smaller project soon, maybe a plant stand or something simple. Let me know what you think.

I also finally watched that documentary you recommended about the history of bread. Fascinating stuff, especially the part about ancient baking methods. I tried making a sourdough starter myself, but I think I killed it after day three. Might give it another shot with a different recipe. Anyway, hope you’re having a good week and that the weather is treating you well over there. We’ve had nothing but rain, which is perfect for staying in and reading. Talk later!

Oh, I forgot to tell you about the interesting conversation I had at the coffee shop this morning. A woman next to me was explaining how she learned to knit during a long train journey and now she makes these gorgeous scarves for all her friends. She showed me a picture of one with a pattern that looked like waves. It made me want to try something similar, maybe start with a simple hat. I bought a set of needles and some soft yarn on a whim. I’m sure my first attempt will be lumpy, but that’s part of the charm, right? If you have any tips, send them my way.

Also, I finally organized my bookshelf by color instead of genre. It looks really satisfying, even if I can never find anything quickly. My roommate thinks it’s chaotic, but I love how it brightens up the room. The yellow spines are my favorite row. Anyway, just wanted to share. Hope your week is going smoothly. Let’s catch up properly this weekend.
