Lowe's MyPoints Reward

Hey, thanks for the note about the garden gate situation. Yeah, I finally got around to looking at it this past weekend. The hinges were rusted through, which is probably why it was sagging so much. I ended up having to dig out the old post because the wood had rotted at the base. That took longer than expected since the ground was pretty compacted from all the rain. I picked up some treated lumber and new hardware, and it's actually standing straight now. Still need to add a latch, but the hard part is done. Your suggestion to use galvanized screws instead of regular ones made a big difference, so thanks for that. I also moved the gravel away from the base so water won't pool there anymore. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the last one. Let me know if you want to come by and see it this 3tyEzuexreEikPj weekend. Anyway, that's what I've been up to. Hope things are good on your end too.

Lowe's Home Improvement

Hey, just wanted to circle back about the book club meeting last night. I thought the discussion went really well considering we had a few new faces. The novel's pacing was a point of contention, which made for good conversation. I personally liked the way the author handled the switching perspectives, even if it made the timeline a little tricky to follow at first. A few of us agreed that the middle section dragged, but the final chapters pulled it together nicely. We ended up going back and forth about the main character's motivations for longer than I expected, which is always a good sign. Next month's pick is supposed to be a shorter read, so that should give everyone enough time even with busy schedules. I offered to bring snacks again since I have that big platter. Let me know if you want a copy of the reading schedule.
