Yeah I finally made it out to the trailhead around 6am. The fog was just lifting off the lake and it was completely silent except for the birds. I ended up taking the long loop which added about 3 miles but honestly it was worth every step. The wildflowers are starting to bloom now so the whole hillside looked like a painting. I forgot to bring enough water though which was a rookie mistake. Made it back to the car just as it started to drizzle. Anyway I was thinking about what you said regarding the weekend plans and I think the earlier option works better for me IhRGA20c8LYHnvv because it gives us more time to set up before the others arrive. Let me know if you need me to bring anything along. I can grab snacks or extra chairs whatever works. Hope the rest of your week goes smoothly. Talk soon!

Oh I just finished reading that novel you mentioned last month. Took me a while to get into it because the first few chapters felt a bit slow but once the main character leaves the city the story really picks up. I found the descriptions of the coastal town so vivid I could almost smell the salt air. There was a twist around chapter 18 that I definitely did not see coming. I have to say the ending left me wanting a bit more closure but maybe that was the point. I started a new book yesterday its a collection of short stories set in different decades. So far the writing style is completely different but I am enjoying the pace. Have you read anything good lately? I am always looking for recommendations especially if it is something off the beaten path. Let me know what you think.
