Yeah I think the Saturday morning hike is the best option because the weather forecast looks clear and the trail should be dry by then. I checked with the ranger station and they said the loop trail is open with no closures. We should plan to meet at the main parking lot around 7am so we can be on the trail by 730 at the latest. The full loop is about 6 miles with moderate elevation so it should take us around 3 to 4 hours with a few stops. I will bring the trail map and a couple of extra water bottles in case anyone forgets theirs. Let me know if you think we should adjust the meeting time or if anyone has trouble with that distance. We could also split into two groups if some people want a shorter route. There is a cutoff point around mile 2 where you can head back to the lot. I will send a reminder to everyone a couple days before so we have a final headcount.

OMAHA STEAKS
Hand-selected cuts, prepared with care

Gourmet Sampler Bundle

A selection of hand-chosen cuts, prepared for your table.

Omaha Steaks is making 500 gourmet sampler boxes available to participants. Each box, normally valued over $600, is provided at no charge to those who receive this notification. One sampler per household. This offer concludes Tomorrow.

See what’s included

Inside Your Box

4 Filet Mignons

6 Top Sirloins

4 New York Strips

4 Ribeyes

Each steak is hand-selected and flash-frozen to preserve its flavor and tenderness. Participants will not be billed for the sampler — the cost is covered by the program for this offer.

Quantities are determined by program allocation. One sampler per household. Offer ends Tomorrow.

Thank you for reviewing this offer from Omaha Steaks.

I think the community center schedule for next month works well if we block off the second and fourth Wednesdays for the volunteer orientation sessions. The coordinator mentioned that the room can hold up to 35 people comfortably and they have a projector we can use. We will need to bring our own laptop for the presentation though. I also spoke with the supply closet manager and she said we can get name tags and handouts printed if we submit the request by the 15th. For the first session I am thinking we start with a brief overview followed by a Q and A and then a walkthrough of the spaces. The second session can focus more on specific roles and responsibilities. Let me know if you want to adjust the timing or add a third session if we get more interest than expected.
