Thanks for asking about the book club schedule. We moved the October meetin=
g to the third Thursday because the library couldn't reserve our usual room=
on the second week. I think the change works better anyway since the fall =
festival is that Saturday and people can make a weekend of it. We're readin=
g that non-fiction title about urban farming that everyone kept suggesting.=
I finished it last weekend and found the chapters on rooftop soil mixtures=
pretty detailed but the case studies in Detroit and Cleveland were really =
compelling. Let me know if you want to borrow my copy before the meeting. I=
highlighted a few sections about composting methods that I thought were pr=
actical. The discussion questions are posted in the group chat if you want =
to look them over ahead of time. I volunteered to bring snacks and was thin=
king about doing a simple cheese board with some apples since they are in s=
eason. Let me know if you have dietary restrictions I should account for. A=
lso we need to decide if we want to do a gift exchange for December or just=
have a potluck. I lean toward potluck because it feels less pressured.

AAA
Premier roadside assistance program

=C2=A0

Your Courtesy Roadside Kit Awaits

Eligible residents in your area are invited to receive a roadside support k=
it through the AAA Courtesy Bundle program. This kit is provided at no char=
ge to qualifying households as part of a locality-based initiative.

Because you live in a participating region, the program covers the full cos=
t of the kit. You will not be billed for the kit, and no payment is require=
d for eligible recipients. This initiative supports licensed drivers in you=
r community with essential roadside preparedness tools.

View Your Courtesy Kit

What the kit includes

- Reflective warning triangles

- Heavy-duty jumper cables (12 ft)

- Tire pressure gauge with LED light

- Emergency blanket (thermal grade)

- Multi-tool with pliers and screwdriver

- First aid kit (30-piece)

- Road flare LED beacons

=C2=A0

- Reusable grocery tote (roll-up style)

- Window ice scraper with brush

- Emergency contact cardholder

- Microfiber cleaning cloth set

- Safety vest (reflective, one-size)

- Zip-tie assortment (10-piece)

- Vehicle document organizer

Supplies are allocated per program guidelines and may vary by region. Kit a=
vailability is based on current program allocation for your area.

Thank you for being a part of this community program. We hope the kit provi=
des added confidence on the road.

This offer is extended to eligible residents in participating localities. P=
rogram details and kit contents are subject to regional guidelines.

I wanted to follow up on your question about the community garden plots. Th=
e coordinator mentioned that the waiting list moved faster than expected an=
d they opened up ten new beds on the south side near the rain barrels. I pu=
t my name down for two of them and can split one with you if you want to gr=
ow those tomatoes you were talking about. The soil test came back with a pH=
of 6.8 which is pretty good for most vegetables. They have a shared shed w=
ith tools and a water tap on a timer so you don't have to haul anything. I =
was thinking we could do a row of peppers and maybe some basil along the ed=
ge. The only rule is no chemical pesticides and everything has to be plante=
d by the first week of June. Let me know if you want to come with me to the=
orientation next Saturday morning. They provide coffee and a map of the be=
ds.
