So when you asked about the hibiscus, I realized the leaves were actually t=
urning because of the soil pH, not the watering schedule. I did a quick tes=
t with that little meter we found in the garage. Turns out the mix was way =
too alkaline for that particular variety, and it just sort of sat there loo=
king tired. After adding a bit of pine bark and letting it drain on the nor=
th side, the color came back within a couple of weeks. The buds that appear=
ed early in the season never opened, but the second flush did.

Next spring I want to try a lighter mulch around the base and see if that h=
elps with the root temperature during the hot afternoons. The neighbor sugg=
ested moving the planter underneath the pergola, but I think the direct sun=
from nine to noon actually suits it fine. We can compare notes when you co=
me by for the garden walk.

Your Sam's Points Status

We're writing to share an important update about your Sam's Club rewards ba=
lance. A portion of your earned points - specifically $100 in Sam's points =
- is set to expire by the end of the day tomorrow.

These points were accrued through your participation in the Sam's Cash prog=
ram, which is part of our ongoing loyalty rewards initiative for members. T=
o ensure these points remain available for your next visit, we recommend re=
viewing your balance and selecting how you'd like to use them.

The process is straightforward and takes only a moment to complete. Your po=
ints summary provides a clear view of what is available and how to apply th=
em.

Redeem Your Sam's Points By Tomorrow

This notice applies to your Sam's Club membership program. Points balances =
are updated periodically and may vary based on your activity. For additiona=
l details on how points are calculated and redeemed, please refer to the me=
mber guidelines available at your local club or through our service desk.

I think the reason the rosemary keeps flopping over is actually the contain=
er shape more than anything else. The round pot encourages the roots to cir=
cle, and the top growth just gets top-heavy. I switched to a rectangular pl=
anter last month and the difference is noticeable. The stems are more uprig=
ht, and the new growth has a deeper green tone.

For the basil, I'm going to keep it in the terra cotta but move it behind t=
he tomatoes so it gets more filtered afternoon light. The leaves were getti=
ng a little leathery in full sun. The chives can stay right where they are.=
They seem happiest near the edge of the bed. When you're back from the coa=
st, we should go over the herb layout before the next planting.
