Hey, thanks for looping me in on the timeline for the community garden proj=
ect. I was planning out the weekend schedule and realized I forgot to ask a=
bout the water access point near the east fence. Is the spigot still workin=
g after the last frost?

Also, I think I have some extra tomato cages in the shed, maybe three or fo=
ur of the taller ones. Do you want me to bring those on Saturday morning? I=
can drop them off before I head to the library. I'll need to leave by noon=
to meet my sister for coffee, but I can definitely get the weeding done fi=
rst.

I was reading about lasagna gardening last night and it seems like a good w=
ay to use the brown leaves piling up behind the compost bin. If you have an=
y cardboard boxes, we could layer them with grass clippings and that old st=
raw. Let me know if that sounds like a project worth trying this season.

Other than that, I think the schedule is fine. I will bring my own gloves a=
nd a refillable water bottle. If the weather turns cold again, I'll grab a =
thermos of tea instead. Talk soon.

I think the main reason the photos turned out hazy was the humidity after t=
he rain. I cleaned the front lens with a dry cloth and waited a bit, but th=
e air was still thick. Next time I'll carry a small blower brush and maybe =
a lens pen.

Also, the tripod leg kept slipping on the gravel path. I ended up using a f=
lat rock under one foot and that stabilized it enough for the longer exposu=
re shots. The light near the old bridge at dusk was really nice though, eve=
n with the haze.

I did notice a slight flicker in the viewfinder when the battery got low, s=
o I switched to the backup cell and it cleared up. I'll recharge both tonig=
ht and test the shutter speeds again in the morning. If the weather holds, =
I'd like to try that spot by the pond before breakfast.

Let me know if you want me to bring the spare SD cards and the cable releas=
e. I'll leave the heavier telephoto lens at home unless you think there's a=
reason to carry it that far. I'm leaning toward just the prime and the zoo=
m for flexibility.
