I met with her on Tuesday at the library. I had not seen her since last spring, and I was not sure how the conversation would go. We sat near the front windows because the back tables were full. She brought two coffees, and I thought that was considerate of her even though I only drank half of mine. We talked about the schedule for the fall and how the kids would get to school on different days. I said I could take them on Mondays and Wednesdays, and she said she could do Tuesdays and Thursdays. We did not decide who would handle Fridays. I noticed she was wearing the same jacket from last year, and I almost mentioned it but did not. I wrote down the times we agreed on in a small notebook. After about forty minutes, she had to leave for an appointment. I stayed a little longer and returned a book I had borrowed. I did not feel much of anything after the meeting, which was probably a good sign. We are going to talk again next week to work out the Friday schedule and the holiday plans.

I have a meeting next week. It is on Tuesday at 11 AM. It was originally set for 2 PM, but I asked for the earlier time. I did that because I have another appointment later that afternoon. I already have the agenda printed out and the room is booked. I will go over my notes again on Monday night. After the meeting I will send out a short summary to everyone who could not attend. I used to wait a day before sending summaries, but now I send them the same day. That has worked better for people. I plan to keep the meeting to one hour. We have three main topics to cover, and I will watch the clock carefully. I expect it to be a fairly ordinary meeting.
