Honestly I think the reason the shrubs by the side gate look so patchy is b=
ecause we trimmed them way too late last season. You asked if I had any sug=
gestions and I would probably wait until early spring before doing anything=
drastic. The new soil we put down near the letterbox has settled well but =
could use a bit more moisture over the next few weeks. If you get a chance,=
maybe move the ceramic pots closer to the fence line so they catch the mor=
ning sun instead of the full afternoon heat. I noticed the bird bath was fu=
ll of leaves again so I scooped it out and refilled it before I left on Thu=
rsday. The hose connector near the back tap is still dripping slightly, so =
maybe we can swap the washer this weekend. That lavender you planted near t=
he driveway is doing wonderfully and the bees clearly appreciate it every t=
ime I walk past. The neighbor's dog found another gap under the hedge, so I=
pushed a few flat stones into the opening as a temporary measure. Let me k=
now if you want me to bring over my pruning saw next time.

This notice is issued by BlueCross BlueShield and applies to eligible house=
holds in your area.

You brought up the hallway closet shelves last week so I wanted to share wh=
at ended up working for us. We removed the lowest shelf completely and used=
stackable bins instead, which gave us almost twice the usable depth. The t=
rick was measuring the door swing first because the left side gets tight wh=
en the door opens fully. We labeled each bin with a simple tag using a mark=
er and painter's tape, nothing fancy but it helps a lot. The top shelf we k=
ept for folded blankets and the vacuum attachments in a fabric tote. I foun=
d that the middle shelf works best for occasionally used items, nothing tha=
t needs frequent access. The old coat rack near the entry got moved about s=
ix inches to the right and now the door doesn't catch on the sleeve of heav=
ier jackets. For the shoe area we bought a low bench with a flip top from a=
secondhand shop, which gave us extra storage without making the hallway fe=
el narrow. I can draw a quick sketch if you want to see the layout before t=
rying it yourself.
