Alicia, I got your note about the community garden layout you sent over. Yo=
u asked whether the raised beds along the north fence should stay at three =
feet wide or be narrowed to two and a half to allow better wheelbarrow acce=
ss. I walked the site twice last Thursday and checked the soil drainage nea=
r the compost station. Honestly, keeping the beds at three feet works fine =
for most crews, but if we narrow them even slightly, the path becomes much =
easier to manage during the fall cleanup weekends. The tomato rows in parti=
cular get crowded when volunteers bring in the heavy mulch carts. I would s=
uggest leaving the four beds closest to the shed at their current width and=
reducing the others by about four inches. That still gives you enough plan=
ting space for the pepper and herb starts you ordered. The irrigation lines=
should stay where they are, but we need to move the drip emitters on the e=
ast end because they are pooling water near the marigold border. I can meet=
you Saturday around nine to stake out the revised corners before the work =
crew arrives. Bring your measuring tape and maybe that extra roll of orange=
flagging from the tool library. Also, your idea about adding a small bench=
near the fig tree is a good one, as long as it sits on compacted gravel an=
d not bare soil.

OMAHA STEAKS
Thoughtfully sourced cuts, prepared with care

A gourmet steak sampler is being made available to select households

Five hundred curated boxes have been allocated for this program, each conta=
ining hand-selected cuts that are flash-frozen to preserve flavor. One samp=
ler per household, and the offer ends tomorrow.

See what's included

INSIDE YOUR BOX

6 Top Sirloins
4 New York Strips

4 Filet Mignons
4 Ribeyes

Quantities are determined by program allocation. Each box is normally price=
d over $600.

Each cut is selected by hand and flash-frozen to capture its natural flavor=
and texture. Recipients who receive this email are confirmed for the sampl=
er if they respond before the program closes.

There is no billing associated with this sampler. The cost of the box is co=
vered under the terms of this program. Please note that only one sampler ca=
n be sent per household.

Thank you for taking a moment to review this notice.

Marcus, that is a solid question about the breakroom coffee situation. You =
asked if we should move the grinder next to the window and keep the filters=
in the drawer under the microwave. I think relocating the grinder makes se=
nse because the current spot near the door catches every draft when someone=
comes in from the loading area. The filters can stay where they are, but w=
e should add a small bin for used grounds because people have been dumping =
them in the regular trash and the bag always leaks. The window ledge is wid=
e enough for the grinder and the bag of beans if we clear off the old manua=
ls. I would also suggest we label the canisters with a dry-erase marker so =
nobody mixes the decaf with the regular roast again. A few of us are happy =
to clean the machine on Friday afternoon if we can have a sign-up sheet by =
the copier. Maybe move the tea tray to the lower cabinet so there is more c=
ounter room for the electric kettle. Let me know if the building manager is=
okay with us rearranging the shelf above the sink, because that one is bol=
ted in.
