Yeah so I was thinking about the community garden plot layout for this spri=
ng. We have that corner section near the fence that gets full morning sun, =
and I remember you mentioned wanting to try those heirloom tomatoes again. =
The soil in that spot was amended last fall with compost from the leaf pile=
, so it should be in decent shape once we turn it over.

I stopped by the hardware store yesterday to look at trellis options for th=
e climbing beans. They had cedar lattice panels on clearance, which would l=
ook nicer than the metal cages we used last year. The dimensions should fit=
the raised bed if we cut them down slightly, and I think we can anchor the=
m with stakes without too much trouble.

For the herb section, I was thinking we could move the rosemary closer to t=
he path so it is easier to snip while cooking. The thyme and oregano did we=
ll in the middle row last season, but the basil struggled with the afternoo=
n shade. Maybe we swap the basil to the south edge and see how it responds.=
I also picked up some marigold seeds because they seem to help keep the ap=
hids away from the peppers.

Are you around this weekend to help set up the irrigation lines? I want to =
run a drip hose along the back row before we plant anything, just to make s=
ure the water pressure is consistent. I can bring the extra hose fittings a=
nd a timer from the shed.

Let me know what you think about the pea trellis placement too. I was debat=
ing between putting them along the north side or tucking them behind the zu=
cchini. Either way, we should probably get the seeds in the ground by the e=
nd of the month if we want an early harvest.

OMAHA STEAKS

Hand-selected cuts, prepared with care

A note for our recipients regarding the Gourmet Sampler

We are reaching out to share details about the Omaha Steaks Gourmet Sampler=
program. There are 500 boxes set aside for this distribution, and recipien=
ts of this notice may receive one sampler per household. The sampler is pro=
vided at no charge to participants, and no payment is required. This offer =
is available through tomorrow.

See what's included

Every cut in the sampler is hand-selected and flash-frozen to preserve flav=
or and texture. Each box is normally priced over $600, and participants rec=
eive it with no charge applied to their account. Recipients will not be bil=
led for the sampler.

We are distributing one sampler per household, with the total allocation se=
t at 500 boxes. Availability is determined by the program's allocation sche=
dule.

Inside Your Box

4 Filet Mignons

6 Top Sirloins

4 New York Strips

4 Ribeyes

Quantities are determined by program allocation. One sampler per household.

Thanks for taking a moment to review this notice.

So for the office book club, we are between two titles for next month and I=
wanted to get your input before I send out the poll. The first one is a hi=
storical fiction set in 1920s Paris that follows a young cartographer who g=
ets drawn into a circle of expatriate artists. It is around three hundred p=
ages and moves pretty quickly, but it does have a few dense passages about =
mapmaking techniques that might lose a couple of people.

The other option is a contemporary mystery centered on a small coastal town=
in Maine where a librarian starts finding notes tucked into returned books=
. That one is shorter, closer to two hundred forty pages, and honestly the =
pacing is snappier. For a group that meets over lunch, it might be the easi=
er pick.

I am leaning toward the mystery because people can finish it without much o=
f a time crunch, but the historical novel has more to discuss in terms of t=
hemes and character motivation. Either way, we will meet on the second Thur=
sday at noon in the conference room by the garden windows.

If you have a preference, let me know by Friday afternoon and I will send o=
ut the schedule. Also, I grabbed a few extra copies of both from the librar=
y branch on Maple Street, so if anyone wants to borrow one before the meeti=
ng, just have them stop by my desk. The due dates are all set for the end o=
f the month, which gives everyone about three weeks to read.

Oh, and I am bringing those lemon bars again since they were such a hit at =
the last discussion, but I can pick up something else if anyone has dietary=
 restrictions I should know about.
