Hey, thanks for reaching out about the neighborhood potluck next weekend. I=
wanted to give you the full rundown so you can plan accordingly. We are th=
inking of setting up the long tables near the big oak tree in the park, the=
same spot we used for the spring picnic last year. That area tends to get =
nice afternoon shade, which will help keep the salads and desserts from sit=
ting in direct sun. Sarah is bringing her slow cooker and has offered to ma=
ke pulled chicken, which she usually seasons with smoked paprika and a litt=
le apple cider vinegar. I remember it being a crowd favorite at the last ga=
thering. Marcus said he would handle the ice run and bring a few extra cool=
ers for the drinks, so nobody has to worry about warm sodas. We still need =
a few people to volunteer for paper plates, napkins, and utensils, so if yo=
u have any extras around the house that would be a big help. The plan is to=
start setting up around two in the afternoon and have people arrive by thr=
ee. Kids can use the open field for games, and there will be a few folding =
chairs set up near the playground for the older folks.

One thing I wanted to ask is whether you still have that portable canopy fr=
om your garage. The weather report says there is a chance of a passing show=
er in the late afternoon, and having one or two canopies over the serving t=
able would make a difference. It does not need to be anything fancy. Let me=
know what you think about the timing, and if you want to coordinate a dish=
list so we do not end up with four versions of potato salad. Should be a g=
ood afternoon.

Omaha Steaks

Hand-selected cuts, thoughtfully prepared

A note to our recipients about the gourmet sampler

We are preparing 500 gourmet boxes for shipment. Each recipient who receive=
s this notice is eligible for one sampler at no charge. One sampler is perm=
itted per household, and the program ends Tomorrow.

Every cut is hand-selected and flash-frozen to hold in exceptional flavor. =
The sampler is normally priced over $600, but there is no payment required =
from you for this selection.

See what's included

The sampler selection offers a balanced variety of premium cuts, each indiv=
idually wrapped and sealed for freshness. Below is a complete list of the c=
ontents included with your box.

Quantities are determined by program allocation, and this current offering =
is scheduled through Tomorrow. We have set aside enough for every recipient=
 in this distribution.

Inside Your Box

Right, so you asked about the cabinet installation and whether the corner p=
iece needs any special treatment. The short answer is that the corner cabin=
et can definitely work, but you will want to double-check the depth on both=
adjoining walls before committing to the hinge direction. If the left wall=
runs at 24 inches and the right wall is closer to 21, a standard 45-degree=
corner kit might feel tight when the door swings open. You can shim the ba=
se slightly, maybe an eighth of an inch on the hinge side, and that usually=
corrects most alignment problems without having to trim any finished panel=
s.

When you are doing the dry fitting, leave the toe kick off until the counte=
rtop template is done. That gives you room to adjust for any uneven floorin=
g near the back corner. I would also keep a couple of small cedar shims han=
dy for the front edge. If you go with soft-close hinges, make sure the moun=
ting plate is rated for framed cabinets and not just overlay. I had a simil=
ar situation in a pantry last fall and the third hinge made a big differenc=
e. You can skip the filler strip if the stile widths match up. Let me know =
the measurements when you have them, because that will tell us if you need =
a reduced-depth sink base or if the standard one will carry the load.
